At the Jacobs we take training of our staff as a key priority in the efficient running and development of the business.
All of our Senior Management team have studied and passed the Personal Licence Holder exam, ensuring there is a professional Manager on site at all times.
In addition to the Personal Licence they have all passed the BII Cellar Management Training, ensuring there is always a competent cellar person available to guarantee the perfect pint.
We also have a full in house E Learning system in place, managed by an external training provider, the system gives us in excess of twenty training courses giving fully trade recognised certificates from Manual handling, Conflict Management, Stock Taking and Control to Front of House Hygiene, Kitchen Hygiene and Cellar Management to name just a few.
At the point of starting all new employees have a training programme put in place, with full mentoring if they request, to suit their specific job roll. They are encouraged however to complete every course available on the E Learning System.
Running alongside our E Learning programme we have an external training provider supplying NVQ courses to a number of our staff.
And to help in our quest to provide a quality experience.... we are about to send two of our staff on an Indian Cookery course and another two on a professional chocolatiering course.
